REBOOT!

Hello there folks.

Jason Barna here owner/operator of Xavier Orion Games. It's been a long time since I updated our website. I guess you could say it's due to the fact that I mainly use our Twitter account and sometimes even Facebook to promote our games and their development.

Although I recognize that it is more professional to have a website so here we go I have revamped the entire website (the old one looked pretty poor).

Since I redid the website a lot of the old news is gone so let me recap who we are and what has happened over the past few years.

Xavier Orion Games is a family owned/operator game development studio that focuses on creating retro pixel art style games that harken back to the NES/Atari era on modern hardware with our own unique style of game play. We are currently working on new titles while also seeking publishing/porting partner(s) for our previous games as well as upcoming games.

We were established in 2013 as primarily an exclusive Nintendo Wii U developer using the Construct 2 engine. We released Booty Diver our first ever title on Wii U followed by ports to Xbox via the Creator's Program and Steam in 2017. Booty Diver was followed up in 2018 by Loony Lawns which currently exclusive to Xbox platforms.

As of 2019 we paused game development looking into viable development engines so we could bring our titles over to other hardware such as Nintendo Switch. We settled on Game Maker Studio 2 in late 2020 ,but due to other full time work that wasn't game dev related things got put on the backburner. This year in 2021 we are still trying to make the transition to Game Maker ,but instead of stopping development on any titles we have decided to continue development with Construct 2 with the development of Plunder Blunder which is a reboot/prequel of sorts to Booty Diver.

Intentions are to release on Xbox via the Creator's Program (would really love to do an ID@Xbox release though so we can do achievements) ,and Steam. We are also going to be reviving several stalled projects that were started between Diver and Lawns as well as ones that we in development back in 2018/2019 such as Cheese Capers, Crisis Sector, and Grav Shift. All of which currently have the same launch intentions. The end goal though is get all these titles onto Playstation, Nintendo Switch, and ID@Xbox with the help of a porting/publishing partner. So if you are reading this ,and can help it would be greatly appreciated.

This is just the start of a new beginning. Keep it here for more updates!
